Thanks for your comments. I think one of the repeats, of the main theme, at the end, was just laziness (a 'vamp') because I had temporarily forgotten what the next bit was. Otherwise I think I was pretty close to the original, though Bruce was 'more perfect', which is what you get if you are paying big bucks to use that room full of mirrors called a studio.
Suzanne reminded me, this song used to be the theme song on the late great Chopper McKinnon's wonderful Canadian folk music show show on Carleton University's CKCU. I miss being a Space Cadet.
